PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Lead and manage the efficient, innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective IT functions in the VMG group Lithuania / Belarus / Poland. The role ensures the IT functions and services are resilient, secure, well designed, accessible, and are adaptable to support the company’s changing needs. A client-focused service excellence culture is essential through leadership, consultation, and management to ensure business and client requirements are delivered to high standards, agreed costs, and on time.
Sets the vision, strategy and KPI of the IT organization to foster business-oriented goals, culture, and mindset.
Oversees and managers teams that you are responsible for, allocating resources to ensure that staff deliver secure and robust IT solutions to any of the organization’s identified and agreed requirements.
Serves as a trusted advisor; builds and maintains relationships with other executives to understand business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of services to meet those needs, responds with agility to changing business priorities. Uses influence and negotiation to create collaboration to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in the achievement of business goals.
Establish and monitor the ongoing utilization of infrastructure services, and establish measures to pre-empt future needs across data, bandwidth, and resilience for all services. Support a high-performance culture and form the basis for evaluation of effectiveness and improvement planning. Proactively seeks feedback from multiple channels to drive the excellence of service.
Stays current on new technologies; provides direction to the team on emerging technologies. Provides strategic direction in the organization's innovation efforts and role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of those opportunities.
Provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of systems, including enterprise architecture management, application management, security and risk management, and infrastructure and operations support management.
Develop, implement, and regularly test business continuity, emergency, incident response, and recovery plans. Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery architecture is maintained and agreed upon.
Maintain strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers. Oversee and contribute to product evaluations, service selections, and tender assessment in accordance with Procurement procedures. As applicable manage outside contracts and monitor performance against agreed service levels
Partner with the Project Management Office, to support planning and successful delivery of IT related projects.
Designs the organization and staff accordingly. Develops and maintains a workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge and technical skills required to achieve business objectives; Ensures the core functions are reliable, stable, and efficient.
Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the leadership team and staff.
Provides overall direction for all information services activities for the organization.
Other projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Requirements 7+ years’ experience in a technical leadership position in a large/multicultural organization.
MA/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field will be preferred
Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations. Experience in optimizing manufacturing processes would be considered an advantage.
Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
A strong strategic and business mindset.
Knowledge of project management methods (PMP, CompTIA Project +, etc.)
Knowledge of IT service provision processes (ITIL, ISO20000, COBIT, etc.)
Deep understanding of interdependent relationships between IT infrastructure, information security, and applications/services they enable.
Solid people management skills – providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff, and building a positive working environment.
